CalSTRS Retroactive Election Program (K-12)

As you recall, in November, 2013, CalSTRS offered certain CalSTRS members the option of filing retroactive election forms allowing them to remain in CalSTRS. The retroactive (or “amnesty”) election program applies to persons who were in a position where they clearly performed creditable CalSTRS service but subsequently moved to a position where their service may not be creditable, and no election to remain in CalSTRS was filed.
