Dismissal of County Committee and Reduction of Legal Fees Upheld in CVRA Suit (K-12)

On February 28, 2012, the Court of Appeals of California, fifth district, upheld a trial court’s dismissal of the County Committee on School District Organization (County Committee) and a substantial reduction of plaintiff’s attorney fees request for a successful suit based on the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA) against the Madera Unified School District.
