The U.S. Department of Education (DOE), through its Office of Federal Student Aid, issued additional regulatory flexibilities related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on July 10, 2020. It extended the following deadlines for postsecondary institutions as follows:
Report | Original Due Date | Extended Due Date |
Annual Security Reports (ASRs); and
Annual Fire Safety Reports (AFSRs)[1] |
October 1, 2020 | December 31, 2020 |
Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act Disclosures (EADA)[2] | October 15, 2020 | December 31, 2020 |
Fiscal Operation Report and Application to Participate (FISAP)[3] | October 1, 2020 | November 2, 2020 |
The related surveys were likewise extended as follows:
Annual Crime and Fire Statistics Survey: open 11/18/20 – 1/14/21
EADA Survey: open 12/2/20 – 1/28/21
The DOE encourages institutions to attempt to distribute their reports on the normal schedule if possible.
