On Monday July 27, 2020, the California Department of Education (“CDE”) issued updated guidance on distance learning issues in the form of a twenty question and answer format.

The guidance addresses many of the questions that our office has received regarding distance learning so this is a “must read” document!

The five-page document is attached to this Legal Update and may also be found at the following link: https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/cr/dl/distlearningfaqs.asp.

Also, please be advised that CDE will be hosting a webinar today at 11:00 a.m. to provide guidance on the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (“LCP”).[1]  CDE will be issuing the LCP template on August 1, 2020, which will be available on the CDE website at: https://www.cde.ca.gov/re/lc/learningcontattendplan.asp.
