We are sending this as a reminder that under Penal Code Section 11166.5, any school employee who may be a mandated reporter, as a pre-requisite of employment, must sign a statement that he/she has knowledge of the child abuse reporting requirements for mandated reporters under Penal Code Section 11166. It has come to our attention that many districts may be using forms that need updating. For example, PC 11166.5 requires that the employer provide the employee copies of Penal Code Sections 11165.7, 11166, and 11167.
