Experience:

Ms. Sanders’s areas of focus are special education, Section 504 and other student-related areas including student discipline and Title IX. After more than a decade serving Sonoma County schools and students, Debra has established relationships with school districts across Sonoma County. Debra has extensive experience with supporting administrative teams to establish policies and procedures that create continuity and reflect best practices for serving students, staff and families. She has experience providing staff professional development and training in a wide range of policy areas.

Ms. Sanders brings to her practice 20+ years as an educator. Prior to joining SCLS, she served in a wide range of roles including as a high school teacher, school site administrator, Director of Beginning Teacher Support and Peer Assistance Review, Director of Special Education, and County Office of Education Coordinator of Services for Students Identified as Foster Youth or Homeless. She has served as a Title IX Coordinator for Sonoma County Office of Education.

Ms. Sanders is a member of the State Bar of California.
