Experience:
Mr. Reiner has a background in civil litigation where he practiced as a plaintiff’s attorney in federal and state court prior to joining SCLS. During that time he honed his legal skills while litigating hundreds of cases and gained valuable experience in all aspects of litigation. He has transferred those skills to his practice at SCLS where he advises clients on the legal implications of decisions with the goal of avoiding litigation.
Mr. Reiner uses his litigation experience to assist clients with personnel matters at K-12 and community college districts, which include investigations, discipline, grievances, and hearings. He provides legal advice on security issues, subpoenas, public records act requests, Title IX compliance, discrimination, harassment, and workplace violence. Mr. Reiner also advises community college districts on variety of general legal issues, including student disciplinary matters involving violations of the student code of conduct. Mr. Reiner is dedicated to the concept of preventative law through counseling and advising clients of issues prior to them escalating, as well as providing critical legal updates and workshops.
